Follow-up to my earlier post. I love this little scene in the Old House. There are stronger hints that Barnabas is a vampire. (Talking about the sunrise.)
The boy flubs a line (at about 5:39) and that reminded me that this show was originally broadcast live,* like most soap operas were then. And the music is awesome. Isn’t that the quintessential spooky music?
Darn it. Now I want to get the complete DVD set of Dark Shadows.

Technically Dark Shadows wasn\’t shown live. It was taped, but so close to air time that edits to fix flubs were almost impossible. This was way before digital editing, so video tape had to be manually spliced, which was costly and time-consuming. In rare cases, flubs were corrected.
