Funny, I tend to regard “being a grown-up” more from the negatives: as in, “you have to be sure you are places on time” and “you have to make your own doctor’s and dentist appointments” and “when something goes wrong, you have to take responsibility for it.”
I actually once said, “The only way being a grown-up is better than a kid, that I can see, is you have a bigger allowance.” True, I was kind of joking at the time, but still.
Maybe I need to figure out some kind of weird thing to do “just because I’m a grownup.”
