In the 1930′s the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad introduced their kitten logo and the slogan “You’ll sleep like a kitten on the C & O“. I’ve never associated kittens with railroads before. What a cute and effective ad.

    Funny, I knew all about Chessie growing up. (I guess my dad was kind of a railroad buff and we learned stuff like this by osmosis).

    I will say “Kitten Train” made me first think of the orphan trains of the 1930s…a whole train full of homeless kittens, bound for the West, where people would take them in and give them a home…
