Well, That Was Weird

October 22nd, 2009

I dreamed about Dark Shadows. Sort of. The dream was about two children, a boy and a girl. They were beautiful, blond children and much nicer and more well-behaved than any real world children. I didn’t know who they were, but after a while I somehow knew that the little girl’s name was Victoria Winters. I never did figure out who the little boy was though I wondered about it a lot. There was nothing at all Dark Shadows-like about the dream except that the girl’s name was Victoria Winters and while I was dreaming it I thought about Dark Shadows. It was actually a light, pleasant dream. So I guess I have a really weird brain.

That is weird. Especially since Victoria Winters on the show was a brunette.

And here I thought I was the only one who occasionally dreamed about TV characters. (Though not recently for some reason.)

Yeah… I don’t know how my brain comes up with this stuff.

The only other time I remember dreaming about a TV show was when I dreamed that I had about 20 Klingons over to my house for dinner. Only it wasn’t my real house, just a house my brain made up. It’s really good at making up houses too.

I have toyed (toyed, only!) with the idea that dreams somehow relate to the parallel universes now contemplated by speculative physicists. Here and there on the net I see others are onto the same idea (google “dreams parallel universes”; it seems to be spreading…).
