This Is Why You’re Fat: 10 Really Surprising Reasons. Well, most of them aren’t surprising because I had already heard them before. Fewer than half apply to me and I’m not saying which ones they are, except to say that there’s only one that I could do anything about – caffeine. I’ve never drank coffee but in the last two or three years I have been trying to cut down on the amount of black tea and caffeinated sodas that I drink. I’m not sure if that has actually made any difference or that it could make a difference if I increased my caffeine intake, which I don’t think I want to do.

I’d like to see some kind of citation for the “obesogens” (oh, great, we’re gonna get THAT as a new word. And I bet some kind of food-nanny will want to extend it to other things as well). I’ve heard that plasticizers can be endocrine disruptors but I’m doubtful of the obesity link without some clear evidence.
I guess this is a real hot-button issue for me; I was kind of surprised not to see something like “You’re enjoying your food” on there.
A lot of those don’t apply to me either. I don’t drink, I’m not married, I don’t starve myself…

I’m very skeptical about that one. I suspect it’s just something the purity people threw out there just because and the list maker saw it somewhere and included it so he’d have an even 10.
You really can’t win so you might as well enjoy life. In moderation of course.

I have a theory as to why it’s now so popular to not like fat people.
It’s because You are no longer allowed to dislike someone because they are female, black, indian, hispanic, jewish, christian, stupid, oriental, or arabic. And some people just feel a driving need to be better than SOMEONE, ANYONE.
