Comic Sans Forever

June 29th, 2010

Awesome!. I love, love, love that! And I like Comic Sans. Okay, to be honest, I don’t like like it but I don’t hate it. I think it’s a nice, casual font that’s okay for most purposes. Of course you shouldn’t use it for your resumé or a college research paper but why get upset when you see it on the Internet and bake sale posters and such? All the hate for Comic Sans that I’m always seeing just makes me want to use it.

Thanks.

I don’t hate Comic Sans either. It actually looks nice at smaller sizes, as opposed to the big headline sizes it tends to get used at. I’ve noticed that the people who hate Comic Sans hate it because 1) it was created specifically by Microsoft for a specific product (some kind of chat program I believe) and they made it a default Windows font which for some reason upped its evilness (no one seems to bring out the hatred for Arial or Times New Roman — I for one hate Arial with a seething hatred these days, though I’ve been going easier on Times lately) and 2) they are all comic book hounds who favor some other comic book font because the zowies! and biffs! and “Oh Wolverines!” “Oh Rogues!” supposedly looks better in those fonts. Whatever. i don’t read comic books.
