Mendel’s Soup – lots of odd and interesting things. I like this photo.
Segway on steroids – Nifty! I wanna play with one.
The perfect example – You gotta love “the press”. They give us an endless supply of blog fodder.
Norman Rockwell photos and paintings – Russian site. I saw that first pair in Smithsonian Magazine last year.
Full circle – The interesting story of a font, a deli, and the Internet.
Strange picture – Looks vintage, 50′s, but I strongly suspect that it isn’t. Slightly NSFW. (via)
Future cities concept art – Fascinating. Also, spaceships. Both found at Gravity Lens along with several more interesting links.
Cat Party – A rather interesting blog. Lots of strange photos and illustrations.
Alternate Universe Posters – Movie poster fun (via)

The segway/skateboard thing looks fun, but I don’t think it’s such a great idea. First of all, they can claim a payload of 1200 Lbs, but it’s not going to make it happen. And it certainly wouldn’t move that much over that terrain.
For the record, I myself have a vehicle that has been proven to climb 60% grades, reaches speeds of 70 MPH, is mechanically simple enough to be repaired in the field, can fly distances of 30 feet witnout mishap, goes over 60 miles on a gallon of fuel, can be started without the use of a battery, can be lifted by one man, (admittedly not a LITTLE man…) has a 250cc two stroke engine, and will go over terrain that you’d break an ankle on. It’s a dirt bike.
