On This Auspicious Day

April 1st, 2011

I’m not a big fan of April Fools day. I hate pranks that injure or embarrass anyone. I have to confess that I do often experience a certain evil pleasure in the kind of prank that is designed to catch large numbers of people who really ought to know better, for example, my all time favorite, the infamous 1992 Mt. Trashmore prank. (The name Mt. Trashmore sounds like an April Fools joke itself, doesn’t it?)

Instead of a prank, how about a joke – A Musical Joke. I suppose you have to be musically trained to get the joke but it is a very nice piece of music anyway.
