20 Superfoods For Weight Loss. Most of the items on the list are not surprising but a few are the opposite of what we’ve been told for the last couple of decades, at least. Steak? Eggs? I’m going to go out on a limb here and make a wild prediction (but maybe not so wild, considering). Sooner or later the “experts” are going to decide that bacon is actually good for us. Maybe even refined sugar. (Remember you read it here first.) In moderation of course. When they have flip-flopped on everything else several times they are going to have to come up with something “new” to surprise us with and make us read their articles.

Actually with the steak and eggs thing — I can vouch for the switch to foods higher in protein and fat (like steak and eggs) than carbs as a weight loss help. I need to go back on my meat and salad diet and stop eating fries and cakes and things because I’ve gained a whole bunch of that weight I lost.

I’m doing the Mark diet, and it’s been working great. Eat whatever you want, drink lots of water, and walk around in the sun for eight hours a day carrying a 20 pound transmitter, a few cans of paint, and lots of little flags while wearing steel toe boots and jeans. Don’t forget to occasionally lift a 125 pound manhole cover, and carry a water pump 10-20 feet. You’ll see the weight fall off.

I’m not big on the “All protein and nothing but!” notion that some Atkins-diet followers enjoy, but I generally feel healthier when I’m consuming more protein and veggies than carbs.
Also, bacon is essential for proper functioning of the taste buds.
