Trendy equals expensive and the latest trend is tiny houses. These houses are all 550 square feet or less and the cheapest one is listed at over $119,00 and one, in San Francisco, is over one million dollars. That’s crazy!!! If I’m going to spend over $100,000 for a house, which I’m not going to do, it will have at least 2000 square feet, several acres of land and it will be very nice. That is an entirely realistic expectation in this part of the country. So what is wrong with the rest of the country? These are all in coastal states so maybe ocean breezes cause insanity.

I occasionally do utility locates around houses that cost upwards of half a million dollars but are still only 15 feet from the next house that also cost upwards of half a million dollars. I can’t help but see it as a high-dollar slum.
