And speaking of cat envy, last weekend the prettiest cat in the world appeared briefly on my back porch. The husband was sitting here at the computer and told me, ” Come look at this cat,” so I came over to look. It was sitting close to the back door – a beautiful white cat with just the slightest hint of orange “points”, sort of longish fur, and blue eyes! It stared at me for a moment and apparently something made it decide (incorrectly in this case) that I wasn’t a friendly human, or maybe it just suddenly realized that it was in the wrong place, and it ran away. Fortunately, I haven’t seen it since.
