People in science – how people in science see each other
Restaurant websites – I find this to be true of most commercial websites that are not trying to sell something directly online. They never give you the information you’re looking for. It’s all, “Yay us! Look how great we are!”
How to Deal With an Obnoxious Moviegoer – Actually, I wouldn’t recommend this but sometimes… oh the temptation!
Asparagus cake – Wow. Nice. A bit too much icing for me though. I like the cake itself better than the icing. Also I’m not really a big fan of chocolate cake. (but I’d never refuse a piece if offered)
Adam Scott Miller – Colorful psychedelic art
Creative recycling – What to do with old clear incandescent light bulbs
Sidewalk art – clever
The Internet Fairy – Heh.
Spicy history – Brief histories of several common spices
The Saddest Movie in the World – There’s scientific proof. (or evidence at least) Try to guess what it is before you go look.

My siblings and I actually walked out of the saddest movie in the world. The only reason we tried to see it to begin with was the fact that my two youngest siblings were too young to get in to see Alien–which was showing in the same theatre. (Remember when most movie theatres only showed two movies at a time? Yes, I have a hard time remembering that far back too.)
It said something about how predictable it was that even my sister–who usually has a soft spot for soap operas and tearjerkers–didn’t want to stay to see how it ended. But apparently someone likes it.

I have to disagree about the Saddest Movie In The World. For me, it’s the first 15 minutes of “Joe Vs. The Volcano”. I wanted to find a cliff and leap off it at that point, but I hadn’t finished my popcorn and luckily it got happier.
Also the part in “Cast Away” where he loses Wilson. I cried so much they almost called the paramedics. (Absolute truth.)
I sense a pattern here, that I can’t bear to see anything where Tom Hanks is unhappy/hurt/sick. Makes sense. I loved “Bosom Buddies” but I can’t even think about “Saving Private Ryan.”
Freud would love me.

I’m not sure what I would name as “saddest movie” if someone had asked before I saw that article. The first (and so far only) one that comes to mind is Where the Red Fern Grows. What is it about dog movies? I’m not even a dog person.
I had forgotten about The Champ so I guess it couldn’t have been all that good but now that it’s been brought up I remember liking it and being puzzled that so few people thought it was a good movie.
