(That title just came to me and I sort of liked it.)
We got a new desk chair. It’s a high-back, brown leather chair that almost looks fancier than anything that should be in my house, but it actually wasn’t expensive. This is it. I really wanted one without arms. I’m not used to them and they’re in the way but except for that I love this chair. It’s very cushy and comfy. What I like best about it, and the reason I desperately needed a new chair, is that it adjusts way high so my feet barely touch the floor and now I can see the monitor. (People with bifocals will understand.) And it just happened to be on sale. I didn’t even know that when I decided I wanted it.
Shopping was a bit of an adventure. We first went to the Office Depot in Owasso but they didn’t have a brown one. I nearly settled for the black but the nice guy working there offered to see if any of the other stores had one and he printed out a list of stores in the area where they had some in stock. Before heading to one of those stores we stopped by the Home Depot, which is not far from the Office Depot, (You keeping all these “Depots” straight?) to look for something and after looking around there for about half an hour and not finding what we needed we finally went down to the Office Depot on 51st street and bought our chair. Then we went to Hobby Lobby to get some supplies for a sort of “art project” the Husband and Number Two Son are working on.
So anyway that was my Saturday morning and early afternoon, leaving out the parts about all the jerks who cut us off in traffic and drove 45 miles per hour in the left lane on the expressway and such, and this afternoon I have done… nothing. Spent a little while reading Snow Crash (I’m up to chapter 5 now.) and some time sitting here trying out the new chair. Good weekend so far.

The arms are probably removable if you really don\’t like them. The chair I\’m sitting in right now is from Office Depot. 4 bolts for each arm, and off they\’d come.

They’re not. They help hold the back on.
