All I really know is I have absolutely no idea what Mozart really looked like. Most of these portraits don’t look like they could have even been related, much less look like the same man. Even the most popular portrait is a mere compilation of likenesses that may or may not have been accurate. What fun.

I sort of agree with Terry – why care? – but I can’t help being curious.
