Actually, 30,000 years, as far as flowering plants go, is not THAT long. Prior to the last Ice Age but it’s just about the time Neanderthals went extinct…it’s a Silene, a genus that exists today (but not that particular species). Still, it’s interesting.
I’ve also heard of extremely old seeds (like, 100s of years) being germinated off of herbarium sheets.
