Did you know that there’s an official Star Wars blog? Well of course there had to be. I know someone out there is saying, “Well, Duh!” but I hadn’t seen it before. I don’t seek out “official” blogs for anything because they’re usually boring, not real blogs at all, just press releases. The Star Wars blog is different. I never would have guessed it was an “official” blog if it didn’t say so at the top. It has all sorts of cool stuff like, How to Bake a Yoda Cake and Salacious Crumb Pop-up Card Craft.

I never really understood the Star Wars fascination. I’ve tried, but I think it’s futile. I mean, sure, it’s an interesting industry unto itself, but I know people who can quote chapter and verse on the entire Star Wars timeline. I guess Star Wars to them is like Leon and others are to me, except I don’t go meet up with other people dressed up like a poor italian man in a trench coat.

Well… I don’t dress up and I have hardly any of Star Wars memorized. There’s not enough “disc space” left in my brain for that. I do good to remember a few dozen of the best lines from Firefly.
I’ve said this before and it really annoys younger Star Wars fans but I think to really get what is so great about Star Wars you had to have been an adult, or at least a teenager, back when it was first released. Now so much about it has become cliche but nothing like it had ever been done before.
