This might be the scariest thing I’ve ever read. It almost makes me want to not go outside, ever. Now I know that vegetarians, if there are any reading this, will be rolling their eyes. I don’t eat a lot of meat but to have to give it up entirely is unimaginable and unacceptable.
Zoopraxiscope is a really neat blog. Lots of interesting photos and links and random notes and observations. Heh.
Fun fact. I did not know that. That is sweet and cool and awesome all at once.
Tetrachromacy. Curious.
Funny? Or have I just been watching Swamp People too much?
Black Forest Clocks. Fascinating. I love interesting and unusual clocks. I’ve never had any desire to have a cuckoo clock, not even when I was a little kid, but these are, as the article says, “not your grandma’s cuckoo clock.”

Wow. I’m allergic to DEET (or at least, it makes me come out in hives), so I hadn’t been using it….but that first story is enough to make me bathe in the stuff.
I WILL stop going outside if they find a tick whose bite makes people allergic to chocolate.

I’m the niece of Don, the blogger of Zoopraxiscope.
Mwa ha ha ha I live in Alaska and there are no ticks here, yes!

Huh. I like meat, but if I turned out to have developed an allergy to it, I’d have no problem giving it up, because I like vegetables also.
