   Zowie! Alien plumbing!
   As a british plumber, planning to move to texas… this was fascinating, because it’s all so different. We tend not to bury valves in walls, probably because of old building regulations going back to the late 1800s. I was explaining to my beloved that I won’t be able just to walk into an equivalent job in her world. I’m an expert here, but an expert in a heap of things that Texas just doesn’t have.

   If only I’d specialised in air-conditioning all those years ago.
