I know what you mean. Fear of doing a face plant in the middle of Walmart (not to mention a slavish devotion to comfort above all else) prevents me from wearing some awesome shoes.

Those are cute (cough… cough) but it never gets cold enough indoors for me to wrap my feet in half an inch or more of insulation.
