Octopus Quilt – I’m not as into octopi as some people are but I totally understand being fascinated by things that other people might consider a bit weird. And that is a really gorgeous and creative quilt.

Cute quilt. And such work to put something like that together.
I have a collection of children’s books that I can’t bring myself to give to a child. They all have lovely illustrations in addition to good stories. I collected them for many years. Wanted my kids to have the same chance to experience art and story that I was given. No kids later and I still can’t get rid of the books.

There’s a free program called Photofiltre that does a lot of the basic stuff that Photoshop does. I’ve used it for years with good results!

N – I miss some of the books I had when I was a kid. They were thrown out the last time we moved. They were in Number Two Son’s room and he was a in charge of packing all the stuff in his room and I was busy and stressed and not paying as much attention to things as I should have been.

GIMP is free, and even MORE unfriendly than Photoshop, you might check it out.
To be honest, my most used image editor is a ten year old version of Paint Shop Pro 7. I understand the newer versions *improved* it beyond recognition so I never updated.
