Octopus Quilt – I’m not as into octopi as some people are but I totally understand being fascinated by things that other people might consider a bit weird. And that is a really gorgeous and creative quilt.

Vintage Children’s Book Illustrations – When I look at these I feel sorry for today’s kids. They have so much and yet they’re missing so much.

Worst or Best Profile Photos? – I’d love to learn Photoshop. Problem is, I’d hate to pay for Photoshop. I mean, I have no use for it except as a toy. Anyway… some… uh… creative profile photos from Russian social networks.

Mantone – Hah!

Touch technology – Another sign that cats are taking over the world

Tea cozy – Very cute!

Star Wars droid fashions – Nice!

Cute quilt. And such work to put something like that together.

I have a collection of children’s books that I can’t bring myself to give to a child. They all have lovely illustrations in addition to good stories. I collected them for many years. Wanted my kids to have the same chance to experience art and story that I was given. No kids later and I still can’t get rid of the books. 🙂

N – I miss some of the books I had when I was a kid. They were thrown out the last time we moved. They were in Number Two Son’s room and he was a in charge of packing all the stuff in his room and I was busy and stressed and not paying as much attention to things as I should have been.

    J – Thanks, I’ll check that out.

GIMP is free, and even MORE unfriendly than Photoshop, you might check it out.

To be honest, my most used image editor is a ten year old version of Paint Shop Pro 7. I understand the newer versions *improved* it beyond recognition so I never updated.
