I’m not a big fan of Maxine cartoons. I’ve mostly seen them on greeting cards, coffee mugs and things like that. To me she has always seemed like an unpleasant old sourpuss. But once in a while I see one that makes me think, “Yeah! That’s true.” (and then I think, “Oh no! Am I turning into Maxine?”) Like this one for example. If you’re one of those people who frequently find themselves telling others to “calm down”, you should think about that one for a while.

And hey, look at this: I didn’t know that Maxine is from Tulsa.

Anyway, I found that site while I was looking for a particular cartoon that someone sent me in an email. I’ve been through nearly half of them and I’m tired of looking so I’ll just tell you what it said: “Do you realize in about 40 years we’ll have thousands of OLD LADIES running around with TATTOOS? – and rap music will be the golden oldies?” Yikes! [shudder] That’s not something you want to be thinking about right before bedtime.
