Dimensions – I might try to get through that. Is it weird to be fascinated with something you’re no good at? (via Bifurcated Rivets)
The Stone of Madness – something else to make you glad you were born in the 20th century
Juxtapoz.com – an art and culture magazine. Take a look at the reader art
Sacred Destinations – religious art and sacred places. (via Monster Brains where there are a couple of examples of the art.)
TV Cozy – nice and clever cover for a flat panel TV. You could make your own if you’re even minimally crafty.
Artist Julie Heffernan – fantastic surreal paintings. I’d love to see these in person, or at least in screen-filling size online. (via Fantasmaphile)
Artist Parviz Payghamy – very colorful modern pastoral paintings (via Rashomon)

That cozy is a clever idea. I’ll have to pass it along to a friend who keeps linen tea towels draped over her television when it’s not in use because she “can’t stand the giant black hole effect of the thing in my living room.”

Although I think it’s a clever idea I’m not sure I would want to look at that bright colored test pattern all the time. If I was much more artistic I might try to recreate the classic test pattern

Well, you could do pretty much anything. I’m contemplating buying some kind of nice lightweight upholstery fabric and making a simple slipcover for mine.
Or maybe get one of those fabrics printed with books, so it looks like an extension of my bookshelf when it’s turned off…

The books would be cool!
