That dialect site is fascinating. Only complaint I have is not enough people that are “typical” of the UP of Michigan (I think the only one was a 20 year old actor, and it sounded like he was trying to overcome the typical “accent” of up there). I can “do” the UP accent if I think about it enough (I spent a lot of time up there visiting relatives), but it’s not 100% authentic.
The Youngstown, Ohio-area person’s accent made me homesick for the area where I grew up. That sounds JUST like how people talk there.
